PISJ girl students show teamwork at sports day

Students of the Pakistani International School of Jeddah (PISJ), girls’ section, displayed their sports talent and physical strength at their 27th annual sports day recently.
“Education aims at bringing about an all-round development of a student’s personality. Physical education aims not only to develop the physical side of an individual, but also her social, mental and emotional sides. That is why sports are an important part of this institution,” said Rakshanda Mahmood, vice principal of PISJ.
“It is a great honor for PISJ-Azizia that of our graduates are now working as physical instructors in various schools in Jeddah,” she added.
Students presented a sketch “Shahjahan Akbar in 2013,” showing the importance of talent and discipline in a humorous way.
The march past groups of all houses presented a thrilling display of teamwork movement and timing and discipline as a competition.
Races took place among students from grade 5 to 10. Students showed excellent skills of discipline and teamwork.
This was followed by gymnastics exercises, teamwork and physical abilities. The brilliant performance of students with their ability of bending, moving and balancing enthralled the audience.
